Hearts Zipper Pouch (FPP Technique) - PDF Download

This bag pattern uses the Foundation Paper Piecing Method (FPP) to create the front heart panel. It is not designed to teach FPP. We have how to videos and tips here if you want to learn.

Finished Bag Measures: 8"x6"

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:

You will need the following items to create your Hearts Zipper Pouch.

  • 7" of #5 nylon coil zipper tape and a #5 zipper pull.

  • Fabric:

    • Scraps for the six hearts in the pattern.

    • Fat quarter of background fabric. This is also the exterior of the bag.

    • Two 9"x7" Scraps or Fat quarter of lining fabric.

    • Two 2"x2" squares for the zipper ends that match the zipper, background, or contrast. (Your choice)

  • A fun tag from someone like Sarah Hearts. (Optional)

  • Two 9"x7" pieces of light to medium weight fusible fleece interfacing for the outside panels. You may also use batting and spray adhesive.

  • Two 9"x7" pieces of Pelon SF 101 for the inside panels.

  • Matching thread.

  • Basic sewing supplies.
