This week friends, we begin our layouts! AND, that is MY MOST FAVORITE PART! In this video, I talk you through tips and tricks for keeping up with your color palette and for keeping your HSTs turned the right way. Check it out.
Tip No. 1
Pin or tape your Page 3 Layout from the pattern next to where you will be working.
Tip No. 2
Have a pen so you can literally mark off as you place a HST on your design wall or floor.
Tip No. 3
MAKE SURE that your HSTs are turned in the same direction as the layout! This is critical!
Tip No. 4
Take pictures! Before you sew the final quilt top together, take pictures. Lay the picture next to the diagram on page 3 of the pattern and check the direction of your HSTs. That way you won’t need to pick out any because they are turned in the wrong direction.
Tip No. 5
Work in rows and clip each HST to it’s neighbor where the seams are intended to be sewn together. Then sew all your rows together.
